build_qx_extensions
build_qx_extensions#
- qx_registry_build.build_qx_extensions(*, extensions: Optional[str] = None)#
build_qx_extensions(extensions=None)Build the command registry of one or more extensions, and leave the QuNex installation's own registry as it is.
An extension's registry is what makes its commands visible to QuNex, so it has to be built once before the extension can be used, and again whenever a command is added, renamed or re-documented.
This is what an extension author wants, and inside a container it is usually the only thing that will work: the installation's own registry lives on the container image, which is read only.
Which extensions to build has to be said.
--extensions=checkbuilds nothing and lists the extensions QuNex can see, which is the way to ask what is installed; leaving--extensionsout does the same and then reports that nothing was named.Parameters
- --extensions (str, default ''):
Which extensions to build, as a comma separated list of names given with or without the
qx_prefix. 'all' builds every extension found. 'check' builds nothing and lists the extensions QuNex can see.
Returns
- --registry (tuple):
A tuple with elements: (core_registry, built_extensions), as build_qx_registry returns them. (None, []) on a listing run.
